Annie Pearl Bailey

Annie Pearl Bailey, age 84, was born to Robert and Ersie Belle McBride Pressley in Tennessee on February 11, 1929 and passed away in Crossville, TN on March 5, 2013. She was a fabulous waitress. She loved to travel, bird watching, flower gardening, and photography. Ann also enjoyed going to the local donut shop for breakfast, and had a group of girlfriends that faithfully kept up with each other on the telephone. In her later years, listening to gospel music on the television became her favorite pastime.

She is survived by her daughters- Linda Kafton and Garry, and Betty Ann Brittian; grandchildren- Kristine Schmitz, Michael Kafton, Kaja Shinn and John Bates; great grandchildren- David Schwery and Jenn, Matthew Schwery, Zachary Schmitz, Luke Schmitz, Grace Schmitz, Keaghan Shinn, Kilie Shinn, Emily Bates and Kelli Bates; one great-great-grandchild- Wyatt Schwery.

Annie is preceded in death by her parents and the aunt and uncle that dearly loved her- Pearl and Charlie Elmore; husband of 30 years- Bob Gailey; and husband- Edward Anthony (Tony) Bailey (He died too soon.); son- Charles Michael Benge; brothers- Donald and JB Pressley; and sister- Barbara Elmore.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 8, 2013, at Pomona United Methodist Church from 12:30 to 2:00 PM with service to follow with Pastor Jerry Mayo officiating. Burial will be in the Campground Cemetery in Clarkrange, TN
