Emma Jean Molthen, 81, of Crossville, TN passed away on February 11, 2014 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Family will receive friends on Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm (central standard time). at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 3:00 pm (eastern standard time) at Friends Chapel Church  in Deer Lodge, TN with Dean Patton officiating. Burial will follow in the Friends Chapel Cemetery.

Jean was born on October 15, 1932 in Elizabethton, TN to Oscar Franklin and Bertha Dimple (Crow-Morrison) Austin. She worked as an administrative assistant at the Plateau Mental Health.  Jean enjoyed gardening, spending time with the grandkids, bowling and watching UT sports.

Jean is survived by son: Gary Austin Molthen; daughter: Teresa Molthen Wilson; grandchildren: April, Ryan, Michael, Matthew, and Rebecca; great grandchildren: Landen, and Aiden; brothers: Ora Austin (Bonnie), Wade Austin (Margaret), Kyle Austin (Rose), and David Austin; sisters: Mildred Young (Gilbert), Kay Eckhardt (Frank), and Barbara Young (John). She was preceded in death by her parents: husband: LaVerne Gene Molthen; brother: Max Donald Austin; sisters: Faye Elizabeth Austin, and Jewel Ann Austin; son: Larry Gene Molthen.

Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc were in charge of the arrangements.
