William Ronald Dyer

William Ronald Dyer, 65, of Crossville, TN passed away on March 19, 2014 at Cumberland Medical Center. Family will receive friends on Saturday March 22, 2014 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home from 1:00 to 3:00 pm with the funeral service to follow at 3 with Dan Hively officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memory Gardens. Pall bearers will be Jeff Dyer, Edd Dyer, Jay Filburn, Jerry Dyer, Jason Dyer, Larry Dyer, and Mark Daniel. Honor Guard will provide full Military Honors.

Ron was born on April 14, 1948 in Clifty, TN to Roy Edward Dyer, Sr. and Mabel Lewis Dyer. Ron was proud to be a Vietnam Veteran he served in the United State Marines, then worked in construction.

Ron is survived by Mother : Mabel  Lewis Dyer; Fiancé’: Barbara Brown of Crossville, TN; Sons: Jason Dyer and wife Melissa, Jeff Dyer and wife Amanda, Jay Filburn and fiancé’ Ashley all of Crossville, TN; Daughters: Jill Green and husband Craig of Knoxville, TN; Darla Ardziejewski and husband Tom of Clarkrange, TN Grandchildren: Jake Green, Duncan Green, Jace Dyer, Lucas Dyer, Beau Dyer, Bailey Dyer, Jayna Filburn, Alex LaRue, and Vinnie Ardziejewski; Brothers: Edd Dyer (Mae), Jerry Dyer, Larry Dyer (Rosalee). He was preceded in death by Father: Roy Edward Dyer, Sr. and Sister: Ora Lee Caulkins.

  1. Ron and I met a few months before the welcome home Vietnam Veterans event and he asked me to ride up front with him on the escort of the wall from Knoxville to Crossville. I had the blessing to meet some of his family and friends. We have stayed in touch ever since. We had many conversations and one thing for sure he loved God, Family, Country, and Marine Corps. May Ron enjoy his new journey and home in heaven and peace be with him and all of his family and friends. God Bless……Semper Fi……Steve
