John A. (Jack) Lewthwaite, 79, of Crossville, TN passed away on March 30, 2014 at his home. Family will receive friends on Tuesday April 1, 2014 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at First Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday April 2, 2014 at 1:00 pm at First Freewill Baptist Church with Mike McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Green Acres Memory Gardens.

John was born on November 27, 1934 in Port Huron, MI to James and Alice Doan Lewthwaite. He enjoyed woodworking, helping with church construction and projects. John enjoyed taking God’s gifts and helping others. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his great grandchildren.

John is survived by wife Earlene Bowman Lewthwaite; step-sons: Robert Pugh (Rosie), Bruce Pugh; step-daughter: Nadene Golliher (Dennis); Grandchildren: Monte Garrett (Michelle), Eric Garrett (Tonya), Jeremy Garrett (Rachel), Travis Pugh (Misty), Jason Pugh (Betsy), Lance Criswell (Natalie), Tammy Begley Jerry Hendrixson; Great grandchildren: Brandon Garrett, Hunter Garrett, Chase Hill, Case Hill, Caleb Hill, Caigan Hill, Kelvin Pugh, Mason Pugh, Gabe Garrett, Michael Melton, Kelsey Garrett, Leara Garrett,  Kailey Pugh.and Leslie Garrett; and Great Great grandchild: Carson Pugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents: James and Alice Doan Lewthwaite, first wife: Etta Lewthwaite, daughter-in-law Gail Pugh, brothers: William, Gerald, James, Bob, and Tom Lewthwaite.
