Daniel Norman Lesczykowski

Daniel N. Lesczykowski, of Crossville, TN went home to be with His LORD on Saturday morning, May 17th, 2014 at Cumberland Hospice House in Crossville, Tennessee. He was 93 years old. Daniel was born on November 18, 1920 in Sobieski, Wisconsin, the son of Anton and Frances Lesczykowski. Daniel grew up on the family farm in Sobieski, Wisconsin. Daniel proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. On August 21, 1948, he was united in marriage with Shirley Vogt in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The couple lived on the family farm in Sobieski, WI before moving to Sheboygan, WI in 1951 where they raised their family of six children. For 24 years, Daniel was employed as a polisher at Vollrath Company in Sheboygan. Daniel enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid outdoorsman. Daniel and his wife, Shirley moved to Crossville, TN in the past two years so they could be closer to family members who could take care of them.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Shirley of Sheboygan and five of  their six children: Sharon (Mark) Miller of Ellijay GA; Rebecca (Jerome)
Schmitt of Crossville, TN; Mark (Jamie Marcus) Lesczykowski of Crandon, WI; Linda (Nathan) Miller of Joelton, TN and Anthony Lesczykowski of Sheboygan; WI. He is further survived by 16 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son, Daniel David; his grandson, Scott Anthony Lesczykowski, his brothers Andrew and Clarence Lesczykowski and sisters Violet Harris and Josephine White. The funeral service will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home at 2653 N Main Street in Crossville, TN at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 19, 2014. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that memorials be given to the Cumberland Hospice House in Crossville, TN. The Lesczykowski family would like to especially thank the Cumberland County Hospice Staff and nurses Thelma and Desiree’. They would also like to extend a warm thank you to all the relatives and friends who supported Daniel and his family throughout his illness. His internment will be in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
