Charles Phillip Selby

Charles Phillip Selby, age 74, was born on June 27, 1939 in Sparta, TN to Coin and Tennessee Selby and passed away on May 23, 2014 in Crossville, TN. Charles served our country in the Air Force for 22 years as a Tech Sargeant in Military Intelligence. He and his wife are lifetime members of VFW 5025. After retiring, he continued working as a truckdriver and backhoe operator. In his younger years, he was a Golden Gloves Boxing Champion and boxing was a loved hobby of his. Other hobbies included drag racing, taking flying lessons, mechanics,  and golfing.

He is survived by his wife- Wilma Jean Selby; sons- Randy Selby (Lorinda), and Tony Selby; daughters- Debra Bruff, Kim Brown (Jeff), and Sherry Selby; grandchildren- Stuart, Dakota, Tahnee, Ashley, Kayla, Brandon, Zack, Shayla, Harlan, Sarah, Jeffrey, and Jesse; 13 great grandchildren; and a brother- Paul Selby (Kay).

Charles was preceded in death by his parents- Coin Dee Selby and Tennessee Lewis Selby; brother- Tony Selby; and sister- Carol Kerley.

At Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, the family will receive friends on Sunday, May 25, 2014 from 3 to 5, the funeral service at 5 with Bro. Mike Kerley officiating, and a military burial service to follow at Pomona Cemetery.
