Mary Faye Van Dorn, age 70, was born on August 14, 1943 to General and Winnie Davenport in Cumberland County, TN and passed away July 14, 2014 in Crossville, TN. She worked as a nursing aide at Quality Home Health and Hilltoppers, Inc. She also enjoyed gardening and baking wonderful sweet goods for her family.

Mary is survived by her sons- Clint Van Dorn and Tommy Houston; daughter- Brenda Meadows (Chris); grandchildren- Brionne Sherrill, CJ Meadows, Jeney Slusser, Christopher Van Dorn, Ryan Van Dorn, Justin Houston, and Andrew Houston; great grandchildren- Zachary, JJ, Shawn, August, Violet, Olivia, Kinsley, and Marley; and sisters- Lucy Tharpe and Thelma Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents- General and Winnie Ford Davenport; husband- Rilley Lavern Van Dorn; and all her brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 18, 2014, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. it will be from 10 to 12 followed by the service at 12 with Bro. Chip Meadows officiating. The burial will be in Haley’s Grove Cemetery following the service.
