Martha Jane (Overstreet) Spencer, 95, of Crossville, TN passed away on August 19, 2014 at Cumberland House. She was born on February 27, 1919 in Russellville, Indiana to Walter Earl Overstreet and Clara Belle (Reed) Overstreet.  Martha was married for 40 years to Harold Spencer who passed away on February 20, 1980. She worked as a registered nurse for 31 years at Clay County hospital in Brazil, Indiana. Martha was a 60 year Easter Star.

After retirement Martha moved to Athens, Georgia for 31 years. Then she moved to Fairfield Glade, TN to be near her daughter Sue and son-in-law Morris Hannah. Martha had three children, one deceased is Robert Dale, and two living Barbara Cornelius (Larry) of Bogart, Georgia and Sue Hannah (Morris) of Fairfield Glade, TN. Martha is survived by her two daughters and son-in-laws; four grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; brother: Ray Overstreet of Indianapolis, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, and husband.

A funeral service will be held at French, Lawson-Miller & Schoppenhorst Funeral Home with Rev. William Price officiating. Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 am with funeral service following at 11:00 then burial will be in Calcutta Cemetery in Harmony, Indiana.
