John Ed Barnwell, 57, of Crossville, TN passed away on September 5, 2014 at Methodist Medical Center in Oakridge, TN. Family will receive friends on Monday, September 8, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 3 with Pastor Mike McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Haleys Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Boo, Stevie Gibson, Jason Thompson, Zack Barnwell, Chad Nesbit, and Nathan Barnwell.

John was born on June 17, 1957 in Crossville, TN to Arthur and Georgia Pippen Barnwell. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and horses.

John is survived by sons: Zack Barnwell (Michellia), and Steven Gibson (Becky); daughters: Tausha Nesbit (Chad), and Jamie Gibson (David Flynn); grandchildren: Ethan, Gaven, Bravin, Cameron, Jacob, Morgan, Tyler, Baylee, Adrian, Issac, Skyler, and Makaley; brothers: Floyd Barnwell, Erve “Stick” Barnwell; sisters: Debbie Myers, Eulenia Campbell, and Bertha Benson. He was preceded in death by parents; wives: Judy K. Barnwell, and Lisa Barnwell; brothers: Paul Barnwell and Gilbert Barnwell; sisters: Elsie Miller, Thelma Hall, Ella Mae Hughes, and Lennis Potter; granddaughter: Haley Marie.
