Elaine Maria Beckett, age 87, was born on April 28, 1928 in Staten Island, New York. She passed away on January 6, 2016 in Crossville, Tennessee. She was a master gardener and a member of the Crossville Gardening Club. Elaine was an avid bird watcher and also enjoyed bowling, golf, and playing bridge. She volunteered for several charitable organizations, including audiology testing for underprivileged children and cashiering for Habitat for Humanity. Elaine enjoyed visiting with friends and family.
Elaine is survived by her son- Terry Beckett (Martha); grandchildren- Ben Beckett (Donell), Meredeth Beckett, Michael Beckett, Carolyn Beckett, Jim Beckett, Joe Beckett, and Dana Beckett; and sister-in-law- Ann Baker.
She was preceded in death by her husband- Bob Beckett; eldest son- Peter Beckett; and brother- Tom Baker.
Elaine’s family will be receiving friends at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church on Monday, January 11, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
