James O. (Jim) Evans

James O. (Jim) Evans, 93, evansobitpicof Fairfield Glade, TN passed away peacefully at Cumberland County Medical Center on January 12 after a brief illness. Jim was born in Toledo, OH on December 14, 1922. After graduation from Central Catholic High School he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during World War II. After completing his military service he worked in a sales capacity for many companies. He finished his career working in a supervisory capacity for Pinkerton Security Company. After retirement in 1984 Jim moved to Fairfield Glade, TN where he pursued his love of the game of golf. Jim worked as a starter/ranger at the Druid Hills Country Club and was also active on the Fairfield Glade Fire Department for several years.

While in Toledo, Jim was a member of the Boulevard Church of Christ. Jim was an active member of First Baptist Church Fairfield Glade and truly enjoyed the many friendships he made at his church home.

Jim was preceded in death by his first wife Gladys and Ginny Evans who died in April of 2015. He is survived by , sons Jeff Evans (Doris), David Wolff (Sharon Sheline), Tom Wolff (Carole), daughter Vikki Seelig (Steve), grandchildren Jaclyn, Natalie, Nathan, April, Stuart, Jessica, Dustin, John and 5 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all the church members for the care and services they provided in the last years and request all tributes be made to First Baptist Church Fairfield Glade, PO Box 1729 Crossville TN, 38558 where a memorial service will be held at a future date. We would also like to thank the caregivers at Fairfield Glade Assisted Living for the compassionate care they provided to Jim while he was a resident.
