James Calvin Richards, age 80, was born on November 2, 1935 to Jesse and Josie Hopper Richards in Detroit, Michigan. He passed away at his home in Crossville, Tennessee on March 13, 2016. James loved playing golf and poker, and going to casinos. He enjoyed going to the 127 Yard Sale and going to flea markets. In his spare time, he also loved restoring old furniture.
James is survived by son- Rick Mandingo (Lilliana); granddaughter- Kimberly; one great grandchild; brother: William Richards; and sisters- Fran Hutcheson and Carol Fox.
James was preceded in death by his wife- Lois Erickson Richards; parents- Jessie and Josie; son- James Richards; daughter- Debra Ann Krajniec; brothers- Jesse Richards and Robert Richards; and sisters- Helen Anderson, Margie Schultz, Luella Cianciolo, Mildred Christian, and Pat Lambert.
Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 10:00 to 2:00 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. A service will also be held at Crossville Memorial on Tuesday, beginning at 2:00 with Rev. Warren Burns officiating. James will be laid to rest in Crossville City Cemetery.
