Richard Ely, age 81, was born on November 14, 1934 to Seth and Mabel Ely in Flint, Michigan and passed away on September 24, 2016 in Crossville, TN. He was an auto worker for General Motors for over 30 years and in his spare time enjoyed fishing and golfing.

He is survived by his wife- Barbara Jones Ely; daughters- Regina Musselman (Joseph), Michele Kalman (Otto), and Paula Reuman (Gene); sons- Richard Ely, Jamey Wesley (Ashleigh), and Shawn Wesley (Scarlett); grandchildren- Ellen Baker, Seth, Tim, and Sean Wheaton, Melissa Collins, and Emma and Dalton Wesley; and 10 great grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his siblings and his parents- Seth and Mabel Bostater Ely.

The family will receive friends at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, from 10 to 11 with a memorial service to follow. Billy Kemp will officiate.
