Kayla Varney, age 22, of Crossville, TN, was born November 3, 1989 and died August 4, 2012. She enjoyed playing golf, hiking, swimming, the outdoors in general, along with cooking, reading, and loved being around children.
She is survived by her father- Jeffrey David Varney (Candi) from Gilmer, TX; mother- Amy Buckner (Brian) from Crossville, TN; brothers and sisters- Summer Dyer, Bethany Dyer, Boone Buckner, Crockett Buckner, Nicholas Varney, Nathan Varney, and Xander Varney; grandparents- Gaylord and Diane Harrison of Crossville, TN; grandfather- David Varney from Crossville, TN; grandmother- Brenda Riley from Kentucky; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Polly Harrison.
At Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, the family will accept friends from 5 to 7, Thursday evening, August 9, 2012 with service to follow at 7. She will be buried on, Friday, August 10, 2012 at 4:00 pm in Crossville City Cemetery.
Kayla will be greatly missed by all who knew her.I am honored to have been able to call myself her Uncle.She has left us far too early and we will cherish the wonderful memories we had with her.I regret that I did not make myself available to her as much as I should have.Amy I love you.
There aren’t words, even the thoughts and feelings that fill our minds and hearts can’t find words that would begin to express our heartbreak for the loss of Kayla.
She will be missed and will always remain in our memories!
