William Dean McCoy, age 72, was born in Cumberland Co. TN to Oley and Gertrude McCoy on December 28, 1940. He passed away surrounded by his family in his home in Clarkrange, TN on March 2, 2013. Being an efficient jack of all trades, he had his hand in everything but his main occupation was a truck driver. He was a loving father, and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, ginseng hunting and four wheeling through the woods.

He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years- Mary Lou Beaty McCoy; sons- Mike McCoy and Pat, Trent McCoy and Karen; daughters- Teresa Watts and Jackie, Sherry Guinn and Tony, Lisa Hargis and Frankie; grandchildren- Dustin McCoy, Travis Watts, Kara Massengale, Jude McCoy, Chris McCoy, AJ Guinn, Tyler Guinn, Ali Guinn, and Nicole Cravens; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. McCoy was preceded in death by his parents- Oley McCoy and Gertrude Elmore McCoy; first wife- Louise Ledbetter McCoy; grandchild- Amanda McCoy; brother- Herbert McCoy; and sister Faye McCoy.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 10 to 1 PM at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Crossville, TN and the funeral service will follow at 1 with his son, Mike McCoy, officiating. Burial will be in Cold Springs Cemetery in the Catoosa Wildlife Management area.
