  1. David, my ex-husband’s father, was like a father to me also. I had the pleasure of having known him for 25 years. Every Friday we would talk without fail, I had to stop myself from dialing his number last Friday.
We shared many of the same thoughts about life and relationships. He was a man who required respect, and would not settle for “less than” in his life. I was happy that he found such a comfortable life in Tennessee, though – we missed him here in Wisconsin. He would tell me time and time again, how happy he was there…. how comfortable and content his life was. God Bless David, I love him always.

  2. I knew Dave since I was a kid, he was a very good friend of my dad’s, I think through work (AO Smith)? They both loved cars & collecting guns and I will always remember the way he could tell a story – he could make a trip to the library sound incredibly fascinating. I remember a time visiting him with my parents after his dog Clancy had puppies….that must be 35 years ago now!! I was just thinking about him today and found this obituary. I realize it has been over four years since Dave has passed, but I just wanted to give my deepest condolences on the loss of your dad/grandpa.
