Dorothy Reba Kindred

Dorothy Reba Kindred, age 97, was born on September 4,1921 to William and Elizabeth Mallicote Golliher in Westel, TN and passed away March 30, 2019 in Crossville, TN.

She is survived by her children- Wayne Kindred (Lou), Libby Hill (Benny), and Tony Kindred; grandchildren- Curt Kindred, Eli Hill, Corey Kindred, Taylor Kindred, and Shannon Johnson; 4 great grandchildren; special friend- Ms. Bobbie Tollett and special niece- Phyllis Gill. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband- Ed Kindred, son- Jeff Kindred, and  11 siblings.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 1, 2019, from 5 to 8 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Roane Memorial Gardens at 10:00 Central on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 with Jared Moore officiating.

Donald Dale Norris

Donald Dale Norris, 31, was born on July 17, 1987 to Roger and Sharrin Hedgecoth Norris in Crossville, TN. He passed away on March 25, 2019. Donald loved to be outside playing horseshoes, corn hole, and golf.

He is survived by his parents; children, Issac Wayne Norris and Aleigha Grace Norris; sister, Chrissy Norris, and brother, Roger Joe Norris.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Tabitha Ann Bunch.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 12:00 to 2:00 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will also be held on Saturday following visitation with Bro. Gary Howard officiating. He will be laid to rest in Hedgecoth Cemetery.

Patricia Annette “Woman” Wightman

Patricia Annette “Woman” Wightman, 74, was born on August 15, 1944 to Hughlin and Roxie Hodge Dunn in Pleasant Hill, TN. She passed away on March 28, 2019.

She is survived by her sons, Edward Tracy Wightman and Jeremiah James Wightman; brother, Delmar Dunn; and sister, Joann Wightman.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chuck Wightman; and brothers, David Dunn, Bill Dunn, and Jim Dunn.

Family will receive friends on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 10:00 to 12:00 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service will also be held on Monday at 12:30 in Neverfail Cemetery.

Merle Evans Walker

Merle Evans Walker, 64, was born on January 18, 1955 to James Walker and Alma Kerley in Crossville, TN. He passed away on March 25, 2019.

He is survived by sons, Anthony Walker and Michael Walker; sister, Evelyn Phillips; brothers, Terry Walker and Leslie Walker; granddaughters, Stacia Walker, Bryleigh Walker, and Natalie Mullican; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James, Theodore, Milton, and Edward; sisters, Linda, Barbara, and Mildred; and stepmother, Juanita.

Family will receive friends on Friday, March 29th from 10 to 12 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service for Merle will also be held on Friday at 12:30 in Music Cemetery with Pastor Mike Kerley officiating.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Walker, David Walker, Avery Walker, Justin Walker, Jon Walker, and Ethan Kirk.

Makayla Laray Manning

Makayla Laray Manning, age 23, was born on August 25, 1995 in Dalton, GA to Ty and Kristal Lynn Clower Woods. She passed away on March 13, 2019 in Crossville, TN. Makayla loved spending time with her family and music.

She is survived by her mother, Kristal Sherrill; dad, Jeff Sherrill; father-in-law, Darrell Manning; mother-in-law, Patsy Stone; husband, Joseph Lee Manning; son, Zayland Manning; and sister, ChiAnna Marie Teachout (Tyler).

She is preceded in death by her father, Ty Woods.

Family will receive friends on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 10 to 12:00 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services for Makayla will also be held on Friday following visitation. She will be laid to rest in Green Acres Memory Gardens.

Paula Brock Scott

Paula Brock Scott went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 18, 2019. Paula, the daughter of Noble Brock and Nora Tabor Brock, was born in Cumberland County, TN on September 26, 1951. Paula leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 35 years, Carl E. Scott, a stepdaughter, Candi Braunm of Kentucky, brother, Sam Millard of Georgia, mother-in-law, Barbara Munday of Elyria, Ohio, sister-in-law, Teresa Scott of Grafton, Ohio, sister-in-law, Sue Millard of Illinois, brother-in-laws, Terry Chambers and Jack Smith both of Georgia, five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Paula loved the Lord first and foremost, she loved and cherished her family and friends, and was honored to be a part of such a loving church family, especially Pastor Bill Smith and his wife, Sister Charlotte.

Paula is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Louann Smith, brother, Warren Millard, sister, Nancy Chambers, and the very special Grannie Winnie Welch. Until we meet again in Heaven.

“Chip” Lowell Thomas Simmons II

“Chip” Lowell Thomas Simmons II, age 47, was born on February 28, 1972 in Crossville, TN to Lowell and Deborah Smith Simmons and passed away on March 13, 2019 in Crossville, TN.

He is survived by his father- Lowell Thomas Simmons (Linda) and mother- Deborah Smith Wilson (Bob); brothers- Jason Simmons (Chrishell), Cecil Simmons, Bratcher Wilson and Michael Wilson (Rachel); sisters- Kristin Simmons Winningham (Gary), Amy Wilson Reed (Rodney) and Stephanie Wilson and grandmother- Virginia Smith.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents- Clyde Smith, Cecil and Minnie Simmons, Kenneth and Emma Martin, Verna Wilson, John Wilson and uncle- Powell Simmons.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 18, 2019, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home from 11 to 1:00 with service to follow. Hank Jones will officiate and Dexter Smith will be assisting at the grave. Burial will be in Akins Cemetery.

 

Alena Pearl Tabor

Alena Pearl Tabor, age 94, was born on January 3, 1925 to Oscar and Onie Wyatt McCampbell in Crossville, TN and passed away on March 15, 2019 in Crossville, TN.

She is survived by her daughters- Ellouise Hensley (Cordell) and Anglia Jones (Terry); son- Jeffrey Tabor; grandchildren- Brigid, Vaneisa, Michelle, Chenioa, and Jason; eight great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and sister- Lorene Kindrick.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband- Harold Tabor; son- Larry Tabor; grandson- Barry Tabor; daughter-in-law- Barbara Tabor; and four siblings.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home from 12 to 2 with service to follow at 2:00 with Milton Ker officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Green Acres Memory Gardens.

Nann Mae Million

Nann Mae Million, age 97, was born on May 15, 1921 in Walling, TN to the late Ray and Stella Morgan Horton. She passed away on March 12, 2019 in Crossville, TN.

She is survived by her son, Bill Crabb (Marilyn); grandchildren, Greg (Melissa) and Erica; great grandchildren, Katie, Chloe, and Phoebe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wallace Million; and siblings, Buster Horton, Otta Lee Horton, Doris Collins, Dorothy McClure, Betty Shockley, and Bob Horton.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will also be held on Saturday following visitation with Roland Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens 1700 S. Ocoee St. Cleveland, TN 37311 at 4 p.m. EST.

Martha Ellen Guy

Martha Ellen Guy, age 93, was born in Whitley County, KY to Joseph and Lillie York Powers on November 18, 1925 and passed away in her home in Crossville, TN on March 10, 2019. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and flowers, but was happiest with her large family around her.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and is survived by children- Charles Powers (Helene), Gary Guy (Annette), Ricky Guy (Nancy), Leighanne Davis, Glenda Elmore (Jack), and Linda Guy; grandchildren- Michelle, Denise, Charlie, Jennifer, Kevin, Zachary, Charlie, Lauren, Sarah, Michael, Joshua, Jonathan, Valerie, Angela, Katrina and Kristie; and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband- Thomas Guy, daughter- Wilma Harris, great grandchild- Jeremy Whitcomb, and siblings- Lloyd, Cecil, Clyde, Walter, Edwin, Mary, Alice, and Avis.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8, and the service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 with Pastor Gary Hargis officiating. The burial will be in Lantana Cemetery.
