Karen Gundy

Karen Ann Gundy (Gallaher), 79, of Fairfield Glade, who was called home by the Lord on Aug. 22, 2026. Karen passed peacefully in her sleep. Karen was born to James T. and Anna E Gallaher (Tartar) on Feb. 26, 1947.

She lived a life marked by love for her family and the many people who were blessed to know her.

Karen was a loving mother to Laura and Robby (Julie) Gundy and a devoted stepmother to Jackie Fowler (Gundy), Darlene Coy (Gundy), Bobby Gundy (deceased), and Debby Gundy (deceased).

Her love for her family continued into the next generations. Karen was a devoted grandmother to Brittaney and Brandi Jones, Cory Gundy (Kimmi), and Casey Gundy, and she cherished her role as great-grandmother to Ashton Doyle.

She is also survived by her brother, Bobby Gallaher (Vicki), and her nieces, Kristy Johnson (Kyle) and Kaitlyn Miller (Andrew), along with their children. Karen was blessed with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and cherished every relationship she built throughout her life. She was also deeply loved by lifelong friends, Sandi Wilson and Judy McCoy.

Karen will be remembered for her unconditional love for her family, her devotion as a mother, stepmother, grandmother, and the lasting friendships she treasured. Her love and memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Memorial service celebrating Karen's life will be held at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, at 11a.m. In lieu of flowers, if you would like to assist the family financially, it would help with the Hospice care that wasn't covered and or skilled care.
