Gayle Anne Batchelder, 73, of Crossville, TN passed away on November 2, 2013 at Cumberland Medical Center. She was born on November 17, 1939 in Derby, Ct to John and Irene Petro. A funeral service will be held in CT and she will be laid to rest in Durham Cemetery in Durham, CT.

Gayle is survived by daughters: Ann Eirich of Durham, CT, Debra Eirich of Meriden, CT; sons: James Eirich, Fitzgerald Clarke both of Durham, CT, and John F. Kinney of Mistic, CT; stepchildren: Vicki Batchelder of Millinocket, ME, Susan McOmber of Concord, NC, and JoAnn Cooke of Redding, CA; three grandchildren; 12 step grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren; sisters: Barbara Durham of South Berwick, ME, Alice Laffin of Wallingford, CT, Patience Besanco of Ruidoso, NM; brother Joseph Petro of Princeton, FL. Friends from Crossville, TN: Paula Clarke, Michelle Starling and Loretta Hull. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John B. Clarke, and husband Kenneth E. Batchelder; son Donald Clarke, grandson: Paul Patchelder.
