Eileen Martha Hartman, 96, of Crossville, TN passed away on February 11, 2014 at her home. Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm with Bro. Ken Clayton officiating.

Eileen was born on May 7, 1917 to William and Flossie (McCrork) Hilton. She was born and raised in Wadsworth, Ohio. Eileen attended Franklin, Isham, and Wadsworth Central High School and graduated in 1936. She joined the C & M Church in 1933. Active in youth work; taught Vacation Bible School, Sunday school, played the piano, and directed the adult choir. She held various offices in the Alliance Women’s organization. (W.M.P.F.). Eileen married Wilbur Geiser in 1938. They had one child, Patricia Ann.

Eileen interest was music, crafts, drama, fishing, camping, and traveling. She served on the Girl Scout council; was a Gray Lady for the American Red Cross. Eileen volunteered as a nurse’s aide at the W & R hospital. She was a member of the Professional and Business Women’s Club. Eileen introduced the Puppet Ministry at the Alliance Church. She provided music for the nursing homes ministries.

Eileen moved to Bradenton, FL in 1955. She attended the Alliance Church, graduated from Manatee Jr. College Adult Education Program in 1966. While in Bradenton, she directed the adult choir and played piano and organ. She was the local and area president of the Alliance Women. Serving churches form Tampa to Naples.

In 1983 Eileen moved to Crossville, TN. After three years she moved back to Wadsworth. She held an exciting position: President of the ladies “Friendship Sunday School Class”. Eileen enjoyed the fellowship and activities of the “keenagers” group. Then in 2002 she moved back to Crossville, TN. Became involved in the Pine Eden Baptist Church. She helped with the music, playing the key-board for the Sunday morning worship services.
