Walter Calvin Williams, 89, of Knoxville, TN formerly of Crossville passed away on February 24, 2014 at Ben Atchley State Veteran’s Home in Knoxville. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 with Scott Johnson officiating. Honor Guard will provide Military Honors. In lieu of flowers the family requested you make donation to the Alzheimer’s Association in Walters’s name.

Walter was born on July 17, 1924 in Knoxville, TN to Elisha and Grace G. Humphrey Williams. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. Walter worked as an electrician.

Walter is survived by daughters: Bobbi Houston of Powell, TN, and Grace A. Miller (Michael) of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren: Scott Miller, Todd Houston, Tara Houston; great grandchildren: Jaclyn Reagan, Alex Parker, Jared Rawlins, Savannah Miller, Casper Fynn Houston; sisters: Eileen, Louise Ondrik, and Virginia Duncan,. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Wilma Williams; sister: Kathryn Hill, and  Thelma Rosencrans.
