Gary Dean Harper, age 68, was born on May 9, 1945 to Ercie and Mildred Harper in Centertown, KY and was given his Corvette in Heaven on April 4, 2014. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and gardening. He was also well versed in old cars and loved drag racing. In 2006, he retired as a truck driver from Inland Steel/Arcelor Mittal, East Chicago, IN after working with many great friends. Gary was a kind hearted person, well known for his huge heart, with the special gift of giving.

He is survived by his wife- Joanne Wiles Harper; sons- Gary R. Harper and Sue, Eric D. Harper; daughter- Robin D. Krueger; canine daughter: Zooters; grandchildren- Donovan, Nik, and Kaitlyn; brother- Larry Harper and Joann; sister- Glenda Sue Gregory and Jerry; Brother-in-law/sister-in-law Tom & Diane Pollock; longtime friend/family: Larry Robinson.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 5 to 8 pm at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 10:00am with burial to follow in Green Acres.
