Ruby Lee Atkins, 99, of Crossville, TN passed away on June 14, 2014 at Wyndridge Health and Rehab Center. Family will receive friends on Monday, June 16, 2014 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 with Vern Daugherty officiating. Burial will follow in Crossville City Cemetery.

Ruby was born on November 17, 1914 in Cumberland County to Samuel and Minnie Vandever.  Ruby is survived by: Son: David Larry Atkins (Diane); daughters: Patsy Frazier (Robert), Bobbye Newberry (Tommy), and Carol Buckner (Tom); grandchildren: Steven Martin, David Paul Frazier, Brian Newberry, Billy Frazier, Tim Newberry, Scott Martin, Keith Frazier, Todd Newberry, and Sandi Jones; 17 great grandchildren; sister: Bettye Jo Davis. She was preceded in death by parents; husband: Merville Atkins; brothers; Homer Vandever, Horace Vandever, Robert Vandever, and special brother in law Tom Davis.
