Gertrude Daszkiewicz

Gertrude “Trudy” Truman Daszkiewicz, 86, of Crossville, died Monday April 6th, 2015.
She was born to the late Harry and Mable Truman on Oct 3, 1928, in Lima Center, Wisconsin.
She was raised by her father, step mother and special Aunt Maree Crandall Breyer Truman.
In 1948 she graduated from Bethel Academy which is now known as Wisconsin Academy.  She attended both Union College in Nebraska and EMC or Andrews University in Berrien Springs Michigan.
Her work history included many years spent at Hylandale Academy in Wisconsin.  She was responsible for several things while she was there including girl’s dean, cook and registrar. Her next career was in Connecticut where she worked her way up to Food Service Director at Geer Memorial Skilled Nursing Facility.  Following that she moved to Brighton Colorado where she finished her career as a food service supervisor for Platte Valley Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Joe Breyer, brother in law Lloyd Gibson and beloved niece and nephew Janet Payne and Gary Rhodes.
Trudy was a devoted member of the Crossville Seventh Day Adventist Church.  She loved her Lord and her family. 
Trudy is survived by her children: Edward (Eve) Daszkiewicz, and Kaye (Dennis) Smith, granddaughter Angela Smith, Sisters Charlotte (John) Rhodes, Adeline Gibson, sister in law Phyllis Breyer and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Crossville Seventh Day Adventist Church.
A memorial service honoring her life will be held on Saturday April 11th at the Crossville SDA Church @ 4PM
