Mrs. Ruth E. Dwyer, 87, of Fairfield Glades, Tennessee, died Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born July 12, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She married Kenneth “Mick” Dwyer in 1948 and he passed away in 2007. Surviving her are the following: her son Rockne Dwyer and his wife Dianna; her son Chris Dwyer; her grandchildren: Shane and spouse Kathleen Dwyer, Ross and spouse Crystal Dwyer, Matthew Dwyer, Michael and Tara Dwyer, and Nicholas Dwyer; 6 six great grandchildren; and Ben Power, her partner. She lived much of her life in Dayton, Ohio before retiring with Mick to Fairfield Glade, Tennessee. Ruth worked at many jobs throughout her career, and her last job was as Assistant Vice President Manager, Underwriting Services for Mead Reinsurance. Ruth enjoyed people, playing bridge, golf and dancing. Services are planned for the spring.
