Harliss William Fields

Harliss William Fields, 68, of Crossville, TN, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 in his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born July 15, 1949 in Bledsoe County to the late Georgie and Christine Fields. He retired from Crossville Rubber after 30 years from the maintenance department. He was co-owner and operator of the Vandever Corner Grocery for over 24 years. He worked on the farm with is wife for almost 49  years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and farming.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Wanda “Becky” Fields; son- Bradley Fields (Mary Treadway); daughters- Sandra Monday (Doug Monday) and Crystal Bruce (Calvin Bruce); grandchildren- Cody Fields, Bree Monday, Whatty Monday, Cricket Monday, Brylyn Bruce, Brandi Dixon, and Bradley Bruce; and great grandchildren- Kyndall Bruce and Emory Dixon.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. with the funeral service Thursday, September  28, 2017 at 2 p.m. with Thom Hassler officiating. He will be laid to rest in Fields Family Cemetery. Pallbearers include- Cody Fields, Bradley Fields, Calvin Bruce, Doug Monday, Bradley Bruce, and Keith Brewer, and honorary pallbearer- Brylyn Bruce.
