Charles Earnest Potter

Charles Earnest Potter, 93, of Crossville, passed away on December 27, 2012 at Cumberland Medical Center. Family will receive friends from  6:00 to 8:00 PM at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM with Greg Keller and Dan Hively officiating. Burial will be in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Coy Potter, Vern Bonham, Brent Kehlet, Dan Hively, Casey Hively, and Mark Madden.

Charles served in the United States Army. Worked as a steel worker for Pheonix Mfg. He also helped build Cumberland County State Park.  Born on October 21, 1919 to Solomon N. and Cora Presley Potter in Lansing, TN.

He is survived by his son Coy O. Potter (Glenna); daughter Charline Bonham (Vernon); grandchildren Erika Kehlet (Brent), Shane L. Bonham, and Charles Potter (Cristina); great grandchildren Cloie Kehlet and Nia Kehlet.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, wife Cloie Hicks Potter; Sons Earnest Lee, Harold Ray and Roy Louis Potter; Brothers Owen Potter and Cecil Potter; Sisters Lucy Brown, Virgie Highball, Eva Vespie, Ruby Byrge, Lorena Hines, Pearl Redmon, and Lena Barnes.
