R C Whitaker, 77, of Crossville, TN passed away on March 27, 2013. He was born on August 9, 1935 to Rufus Clinton and Lavonia Chastain Whitaker in Ravenscroft, TN. He served in the United States Army, worked as a heating and air technician, enjoyed repairing stuff, mainly small engines.

He is survived by special friend Renna Risby; sons Terry Whitaker, Gary Whitaker (Beth Wiley), and Mickey Whitaker (Lisa); daughter Sheila Whitaker Todd, grandchildren Charles  Todd, Travis Whitaker, David Whitaker, and Dillon Whitaker; great granddaughter Allison Sutliss; brother Rueben Whitaker; several nieces and nephews.

RC was preceded in death by his parents and brother Edgar Chastain.
