Oscar Sanford Rainwater Jr. “Junior”, age 86, was born on May 18, 1927 to Oscar and Nancy Rainwater in Jefferson Co., TN and passed away in Crossville, TN on October 17, 2013. He enlisted in the Army and was a mechanic. He enjoyed working and was a jack of all trades. His hobbies included gardening and watching baseball, westerns, and religious programs.

He is survived by his son- Scotty Rainwater (Barbara); daughters- Gail Byrge (McKinley), Berta Naugle (Bill), and Vanessa Brady (David); grandchildren- Tammy Neal, Torey LaMontagne, Shannon Ketron, Haley Perniciaro, Leighanne Henry, Vera Cole, Mandi Rainwater; 14 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; brother- Tommy Rainwater; and sisters- Judy Green and Eloise Wallen.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents- Oscar Sanford Rainwater and Nancy Carter Rainwater; wife- Imogene Martin Rainwater; brothers- Dana and Bill Rainwater; sisters- Mary Helen McDaniel, Alma Hill, and Jane Whittmer.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 5 to 8 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be on Monday the 21st at 1:00 pm with Pastor Gary Howard and Bro. Vern Daugherty officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
