Jonnie Renea Blackmon, age 58, was born in Monterey, TN to John and Lillian Phillips on October 20, 1955. She passed away on January 7, 2014 in Crossville, TN. Having always been in sales, she and her husband began a business named Blackmon Distributing. She was a vivacious and successful salesperson for Rainbow Cleaning Systems. Renea loved to shop! She constantly bought gifts for her friends and the people that touched her life. She enjoyed beautiful clothes, shoes and hats. She loved to travel and eat great food, and with the success of Blackmon Distributing, she and her husband enjoyed many trips. She was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed.
Renea is survived by her husband- Charlie Blackmon; sons- Sean Waters and Chuck Blackmon; brother- Charlie Shumate; sister- Debbie Coppinger and Doyle; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents- John Ray Phillips and Lillian Jewel Shumate Phillips.
The family will receive friends at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, January 10, 2014, from 11 to 1. The service will follow with Pastor Josh Cardwell to officiate. Burial will be in Crossville City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Crossville Memorial Funeral Home to help with the funeral arrangements.
I knew renew for many years as I took care of her mother at life care. She was one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She will be missed.
