David Carl Maertins, 72, of Crossville, TN passed away February 8,
2014 at Cumberland Medical Center.  A memorial service will be held on
Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 11:00am, Shepherd of the Hills
Lutheran Church, 1461 Sparta Highway, Crossville, TN.  He was born on
February 13, 1941 in Richmond, CA and has been a resident of
Crossville for over 12 years.  He was a member of the Elks Club 2751
of Crossville and a member of the Fairpark Senior Center.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marla Maertins; daughter Cindy
Ozkaya and son in law Umit of Arlington, VA; son, Jefferey Maertins of
Santa Rosa, CA; Grandson Andrew Ozkaya of Washington, DC;
granddaughter Lucy Ozkaya of Santa Rosa; stepdaughter Ragen Mandell
and stepsons Doug and Jim Parsons of Santa Rosa, CA; brother Neal
Maertins and sister in law Judy Maertins of North Carolina; sister
Laurel Alexander and brother in law William Alexander of Castro
Valley, CA.  He was preceded in death by a brother William Maertins
and parents Harold and Florence Maertins.
