Judy Maxine Norris, age 83, was born on November 27, 1931 to William Luther Bowman and Laura Avo Woody Bowman in Crossville, TN. She died in Crossville with her loving family surrounding her on September 4, 2015. Maxine worked for Avery-Dennison for most of her years, but was a dedicated homemaker. She loved spending time with her family- gardening and cooking for them. She was also a green thumb and enjoyed growing flowers.

Maxine is survived by her sons- Everett Norris (Mary Lou), Carl Norris (Kim), and David Norris (Trena); daughters- Velma Sherrill (Waymon) and Brenda Palmer (Frank); grandchildren- Kristie, Eric, Jeremy, Carl, Sean, Tristan, Ashlee, Aaron, Yvette, Brandon, and Stephanie; great grandchildren- Emma, Whitney, Carrie, Haley, Taylor, Heaven, Dylon, Wesley, and Daniel; great great grandchildren- Oliver and Morgan; and a brother- Glenn Bowman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband- Raymond Norris; brothers- Edward, Goldie, Reed, Lloyd, Eugene, and JC Bowman; and Sister- Jewell Miller.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 6, 2015, from 5 to 8 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. The service will be on Monday, September 7, 2015, at 1:00 with Pastor Thelma Roby officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Bowman Cemetery.
