Flo Ella Long Blevins

Flo Ella Blevins was born November 25, 1929 in Hamblin County, Tennessee to Lawson Robert and Sarah Alice Evans Long. She was one of eight children: James, Horace, Trophine, Stella, Phyllis Ann and two born sleeping (deceased). Her mother passed when Flo Ella was two years old and she was raised by her father. Flo Ella married Herbert L. Blevins at age 21 on November 17, 1951. They were married for nearly 60 years when he passed on January 11, 2011. The happiest years of her life were spent with a family who loved her and Jesus Christ. During her time living in Crossville, she was a member (beginning in 1957) of Homestead Baptist Church. She loved teaching Sunday school class for teenage girls, and loved them all. She worked for Roselawn Southern and later, the Cumberland County School System. Flo Ella (affectionately known as “Nana”) was a blessed woman. She is rejoicing in Heaven with her husband and family members that preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children: Len Blevins (Sue) and Deloris Adams (Denton), grandson, Matthew Adams (Katie), and her great grandchildren, Madelyn and Eleanor Adams.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 19, 2021, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home from 1 to 3 with service to follow. Delane Sidwell will officiate and burial will be in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
