Alice Canzada Winningham, 96, of Crossville passed away July 22, 2012 at Cumberland Medical Center. Visitation will be held on Thursday July 26, 2012 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Service will follow at 2 pm with Steve Brown officiating. Ms. Winningham will be laid to rest in Big Lick Cemetery.
Alice was born on June 17, 1916 in Crossville, TN to Isaac and Elzada Hyder. She is survived by two sisters Anna Humble and Cora Warner. Alice also raised two great grand nephews as her own and numerous nieces, nephews and their children as her family. Dollie Turner, Oliver Blaylock, and Joanne Matheny are special nieces and a nephew that she raised as her own.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bethel Campbell, brothers Virgil, James, Alonzo, and Gordon Hyder, sisters Ollie Pew, Mary Blaylock and Martha Brown.
I am Donald Winningham’s youngest daughter Donna. I would like to extend my family’s deepest sympathy to Aunt Alice’s family and friends. I will always remember her lovely smile and gentle way. Surely the angel’s in heaven rejoiced at her arrival.
