George Lynn Cowart Sr. went to be with the Lord on Tuesday the 20th of October. He was a native of Atlanta and later moved to Marietta. He was a home builder in Atlanta and in his retirement loved working as a school bus driver for the Cobb County school system.

Mr. Cowart is survived by his wife Annette Dixon Cowart and four children Jan (Larry), George Jr. (Doug), Pam Graves (Tony), and Joe Cowart, his brothers John (Judy), and Phillip (Anime) , 5 grand children and 6 great grand children.

Services will be held at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home at 2968 East Point Street in East Point, GA. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 followed by the service at 2:00 and interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
