Deborah Patricia Durnwald, 59, of Fairfield Glade, TN went to be with her Lord Sunday, December 30, 2012, at her home after a year long struggle with cancer.

Born in Sycamore, Illinois on January 4, 1953, she grew up in Chicago’s Northwest suburbs and graduated from Forestview High School in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.

Debbie was a Human Resources professional with Motorola Solutions Inc for 30 years and later, with Schneider Electric and Rolls-Royce America. In her retirement she was an avid hiker with the Fairfield Glade Hiking Group and did volunteer work with the Helping Hands Ministry and the House of Hope. Debbie is a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Debbie is survived by her husband Michael, her step-daughter Mary, step-son Michael Jr., her brother David and wife Katherine, brother Michael and wife Jean, sister-in-law Constance and husband John, sister-in-law Patricia and husband Ken, sister-in-law Roberta and her father Frederick Borgardt. She was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Jean Borgardt.

The memorial service will be held at 1:00 January 11, 2013 at Christ Lutheran Church. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
